Joris van Seggelen and Dennis Kleyn met at the Netherlands Film Academy in Amsterdam, where they studied in the same year, 2002; Van Seggelen in production, Kleyn in directing. Twee gevestigde namen in postproductie en VFX bundelen hun krachten en zetten vol in op creatieve samenwerking, virtual production en AI.

Amsterdam, 25 juni 2026 — Planet X en STORM bundelen hun krachten en gaan verder onder één naam: Planet X STORM. De samenwerking brengt twee gevestigde Nederlandse studio's samen; van VFX, editing en finishing tot de meest geavanceerde postproductie en real-time virtual production, terwijl beide voormalige bedrijven hun eigen karakter en persoonlijke, creatief gedreven aanpak behouden.

Met de inzet van AI, realtime-technieken en toegang tot de grootste virtual production studio van de Benelux (ReadySet Studios) werkt Planet X STORM creatiever, sneller en flexibeler. De gecombineerde specialiteiten zijn inzetbaar over uiteenlopende formats, van longform drama zoals feature films en televisieseries tot commercials en immersive attracties.

De nieuwe partners kennen elkaar van ver voor de oprichting van hun eigen bedrijven. Joris van Seggelen en Dennis Kleyn ontmoetten elkaar op de Filmacademie in Amsterdam, waar ze in 2002 in dezelfde lichting studeerden; Joris productie, Dennis regie. Dennis en Albert van Vuure gaan nog langer terug: zij zijn al vrienden sinds de middelbare school.

Over Planet X STORM

Planet X STORM is de fusie van Planet X en STORM: een creatief postproductie- en VFX-huis dat vakmanschap en de nieuwste technologie samenbrengt. Met ruim twintig jaar gecombineerde ervaring in postproductie en visual effects, de inzet van AI, real-time workflows en directe toegang tot de grootste virtual production stage van de Benelux (ReadySet Studios), helpt Planet X STORM makers en merken om ambitieuze verhalen tot leven te brengen. De studio's waren eerder verantwoordelijk voor de VFX en postproductie van producties zoals iHostage (Netflix), Another Round (Druk), El Eternauta, The Lobster, One Hundred Years of Solitude en Soldaat van Oranje the Musical. Voor campagnes en branded content realiseerden zij werk voor opdrachtgevers als Adidas, ASN Bank, ABN AMRO, Albert Heijn, Centraal Beheer, Foodora, KLM, Lipton, Samsung en Montblanc.

as Planet X STORM

Two established names in post-production and VFX combine their strengths, with a focus on creative collaboration, virtual production and AI.

Amsterdam, June 25, 2026. Planet X and STORM are joining forces and will operate together under one name: Planet X STORM. The collaboration brings together two established Dutch studios, spanning VFX, editing and finishing to the most advanced post-production and real-time virtual production. The creative DNA and identity of both former studios continue to shape the new company.

With the use of AI, real-time technologies and access to the largest virtual production studio in the Benelux (ReadySet Studios), Planet X STORM works more creatively, faster and more flexibly. The combined expertise can be applied across a wide range of formats, from longform drama such as feature films and series to commercials and immersive experiences.
