Coparck - A Good Year for the Robots

2004  Comrad, director Wouter Stoter / Daniel Bruce

Alex is a robot who has trouble interacting with normal people, and he hopes that an “emotion operation” will change this. When Alex arrives at the doctor’s office, we see a bit of his high-tech innards. A fairly small but technologically advanced opening at the side of his head was chosen.

The American magazine Spin declared that ‘A good year for robots’ was a must-see video.

Excerpt from the music video 'A Good year for the Robots'

The flap and the inside of his skull are completely CG (3D) and were tracked for both the camera and the actor. The markers were removed during compositing.
