    Mister Braker

2012  IJswater Films, director Boris Paval Conen

Mister Braker is a short film produced for the Media Fund 'Kind en Kleur' series, produced by IJswater Films for Dutch broadcaster KRO.

The 11-year-old Ramon is at camp led by the mysterious Mister Braker. Ramon has an extraordinary fascination with mythical animals and thinks that Mister Braker is a werewolf.

Besides several removals and fixes, Planet X FX designed the title sequence and composited the scenes where main character Ramon comes face to face with a terrifying werewolf.

Mister Braker was aired June 10 on Z@pp (Nederland 3).

Still from the scene where Ramon comes face to face with the werewolf.

Photo of the video assist during the greenscreen shoot with the dog. The position of the actor, which was set earlier, is drawn on the monitor. In this way, the correct angle and height is set, and by a small shift in distance, the dog appears larger because of this forced perspective. A higher frame rate also contributes to the illusion.
