About Planet X FX
Planet X FX is a creative, flexible post-production studio that understands the narrative function of visual effects.
Planet X FX builds a bridge between pre- and post-production and supports the vision of the filmmaker in all possible aspects. Our background is in filmmaking: a thorough understanding of what goes into making the content, and of the creative process, is what sets us apart from other post-production houses.
Planet X FX works together intensively with the 3D animation studio Happy Ship in Groningen.

Visual effects supervisor and owner.
Dennis (1980) graduated from the Film Academy in Amsterdam (NFTA) in 2002, specializing in directing drama. After having directed for a year he decided in 2004 to concentrate full-time on making visual effects.
Visual effects supervisor and compositor (freelance).
Albert (1979) graduated in 2002 from the Graphic Lyceum in Amsterdam as a graphic designer. Since 2006 he combines his background in graphic design and passion for film with compositing and visual effects.
2D production en coordination.
Violette (1984) did a degree in Art & Economics at the Utrecht School of the Arts (HKU). She completed her specialization, Media Management, in 2006 and received a Bachelor of Art & Economics.
Compositor.
Frank (1989) graduated as a chemical analyst but proved to have a great deal of interest in visual effects. He turned his life around and has been working with our team as a compositor since 2010.
3D technical director (Happy Ship).
Bastiaan (1972) fled art school after only two years and has devoted himself to making comics and painting. Through poster designs he came into contact with digital design and he has thrown himself into computer animation wholeheartedly.
3D production and coordination (Happy Ship).
After graduating in commercial economics Martin spent some time doing research: he was a jack-of-all-trades twice over. However in 1998 he saw the light and since then he has been occupied with 3D computer animation only.
